Training your pup right from wrong can be made very simple, and we've developed three types of puppy training so we can help every owner get the best out of their puppy. Re-educating an adult who has learned the wrong things can be very hard work, and take a long time. New Puppy Training Course
Puppies from 8-12 weeks at the start of the course
Boredom Busters Dog & Puppy Services has created a 5 session puppy training course
ready for you and your new puppy. The course is based on real families with real puppies, the answers
and solutions for common problems, and training we’ve been asked to provide over the past four years.
Each session is also adapted for you and your puppy, so you get the things you want out of it.
As all training is on an individual tuition basis, we can start as soon as you bring your puppy home; the course is designed to start between 8 and 12 weeks, and works best with Sessions 1 & 2 at home a week apart (or less) to set puppy up with the skills they need. Sessions 3 & 4 move out to work in the 'real world' any time after your pup is cleared by the vet to go out. Session 5 is available between the age of 6 and 18 months.
The course covers house training, chewing, barking, mouthing & puppy biting, jumping up, not pulling on the lead, coming back when called, diet, living with children and much more. Please contact us for an information pack.
Puppy Party Training Workshop
Your puppy can come to our Puppy Party Training Workshop from the age of 12 weeks (as long as cleared by the vet to go out) up to 26 weeks. You will find everything you need for a long and happy life with your pup.
Two hours of fun for you and pup, fair and effective play and reward based training, educational games, basic exercises, info about your breed and raising a puppy, plus lots more and a chance to ask questions.
Where possible an off lead social walk or social activity is included with adult dogs which gives you and your puppy a huge advantage over pups only trained around other puppies. Taking short naps in class is encouraged for the youngest pups, as this helps them to learn to settle quietly when nothing exciting is happening – this is known scientifically as latent learning, but we prefer to think of it as a good practice for when you need an after walk drink on a pub or café garden!

Training may be adjusted for the abilities and ages of the dogs attending each session. Places are limited to 4 puppies per two hour session, £25 per puppy. Please contact us for a schedule of upcoming workshops and an information pack.
Puppies and Beginners Dog Training Course
We also do an ongoing training course for puppies and beginners of all ages. You can choose from an 11 week course which includes 2 sessions at a local country park and an 'end of term' games and activity session, or 8 week course which has the same training content but excludes the offsite sessions and the games session.
Linda is qualified to microchip dogs, and can offer this service to your puppy if he or she was not chipped by the breeder. Please ask for details.
